CNN anchor Kaitlin Collins is predicting a dramatically different Trump White House if Republicans lose control of Congress in November, according to The Daily Beast.“He is going to be in a different world in terms of Washington should the midterms not go his way,” Collins said Friday on the “Pivot” podcast with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway. “It will be a very different time for the Trump presidency.”Collins predicted the administration would resist Democratic investigation far more aggressively than it did during Trump’s first term — “an ominous scenario,” the Daily Beast said, that even Swisher appeared surprised by. “I don’t think that they will handle congressional oversight the way they did the first time,” Collins said. “I think that the president hated being impeached so much, even though he expects it and thinks it’ll happen again this time."“I think there will be way more pushback from the DOJ and from the White House, even than what we saw the last time around,” the CNN anchor added.Collins told podcast listeners that her take on Trump’s post-midterm presidency was “an educated prediction” based on her reporting and that the outcome remains uncertain.“I think it will be a very different Washington should the Democrats win and should they try to conduct these investigations,” she said.“Oh, wow. Interesting, because I think he’s going to roll right over,” Swisher responded, according to The Daily Beast. “I think he’s a bully,” she added. “He gets punched in the nose and he’s gonna stop. I don’t know. Maybe not.”Trump was impeached twice during his first term, first on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress and later for incitement of insurrection following the Jan. 6 attack.
