During a March 2025 stop on socialist senator Bernie Sanders's "Fighting Oligarchy" tour, left-wing Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed said President Donald Trump's "deplorable and disgusting" tax cuts benefited "folks who don't really need more money."
