Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) was fiercely condemned Saturday after boasting about the “ride” he was provided by President Donald Trump to the Tennessee-Texas football game, with several critics labeling Burchett’s message as “tone deaf.”“My ride to the game,” Burchett wrote Saturday in a social media post on X, along with a selfie showing him standing in front of Air Force One. “Thank you for the lift [Trump].”Burchett’s boast about the taxpayer-funded flight to Neyland Stadium in Knoxville — which sits in Burchett’s district — came as oil prices remain elevated due to Trump’s deeply unpopular war against Iran, with the average cost of diesel fuel hitting its all-time high this week at $6.53 a gallon.“Most Tennesseans can't afford to go to the game, especially farmers and truckers,” wrote Jamie Satterfield, an investigative journalist with the Knoxville News Sentinel. “But Tim Burchett is getting a ‘lift’ from the guy responsible for record high diesel, gas, groceries, day care and healthcare. Vote this bum out.”Burchett voted against all six of the House resolutions that would have called on Trump to end the war against Iran, and has been called an "America First Patriot” by Trump, who gave Burchett his “complete and total endorsement” for reelection last month.“We paid for the gas. Amiright?”Filmmaker Morgan J.
